About Oasis Heritage Trail

The Oasis Heritage Trail winds through the historic oasis that has sustained life in AlUla for more than 2,000 years. For centuries, farmers cultivated dates, citrus fruits, and grains here using traditional falaj-style irrigation systems and ancient water channels.

The trail was developed as part of the region’s modern heritage preservation efforts led by the Royal Commission for AlUla. Its purpose is to protect the oasis ecosystem while allowing visitors to experience the cultural and agricultural heritage that shaped AlUla.
