About Jabal AlBanat

Dating back to the 1st century CE, the tombs were created during the height of the Nabataean civilization — the same culture that built the famous rock-cut city of Petra. At Jabal AlBanat, around 29 monumental tombs are carved directly into a towering sandstone outcrop.
