How to Get There


  1. By Train:


Amtrak Pacific Surfliner: Offers 11 daily trains from Los Angeles to San Diego's Santa Fe Depot. From there, you can reserve bus transportation to the museum.

Coaster Commuter Rail: Provides service from Carlsbad to San Diego - Santa Fe Depot. From the depot, transfer to a local bus or trolley to reach Balboa Park.

  1. By Bus: MTS Bus Route 7 runs frequently and stops at Park Blvd & Village Pl, a 3-minute walk to the museum. 
  2. By car: From Interstate 5 (I-5):

Heading South: Exit at 10th Avenue, reach Park Boulevard from A street. Follow the signs directing you to Balboa Park.

Heading North: Exit at Pershing Drive/B Street and continue on Pershing Drive. Turn left onto Florida Drive, then left again onto Zoo Place, and finally another left onto Park Boulevard.
