About Balboa Park

Step into Balboa Park, San Diego’s crown jewel, where culture, nature, and history come alive.

Why Visit Balboa Park?

Stretching across a shocking 1,200 acres of land, this celebrated park has something for everyone. Balboa Park offers an engaging experience for the visitors who take back with them lasting, unforgettable memories. It is a dynamic blend of history, nature, and culture with spectacular views, all rolled into one.

With an impressive collection of 17 museums that cover all subjects that the visitors are interested in observing, such as the Museum of Art for the artistic population, the Museum of Us for a deep reflection on social issues, Balboa Park has it all. The stunning exhibits of these museums appeal to children and adults equally.

Other than the museums, the park presents beautiful gardens that are a treat for the eyes. The Botanical Garden with its lily pond and colourful seasonal flowers is one of the most photographed spots in San Diego, and for the right reasons. The park also includes the Japanese Friendship Garden and the Alcazar Garden with its stunning views and flora that bring the visitors closer to nature, providing a sense of tranquility.

The biggest highlight of Balboa Park, the San Diego Zoo, is a perfect spot for kids and adults both. So, whether you like reminiscing history, or basking in nature, or spending time with the wildlife, this is a must-visit destination.
