  •  Jack London Square has no entrance fee and is open all day, every day.
  • The best time to visit the square is late afternoon to early evening for golden-hour views, or during the weekends for events and live music.
  • Parking is paid and there are accessible parking areas in the underground parking lot, which has entrances at the base of Franklin Street and Broadway. The Broadway entrance also offers valet parking. There is also another parking space at the 15-minute zone located at the base of Webster Street.
  • Restrooms can be found at the marina public restroom as well as at both ends of the parking garage.



How to Get There


By metro (BART)

If you're planning to commute via the metro, take BART to the 12th Street/Oakland City Center station. From there, it's a short ride or a 15-minute walk to the Square. 


By train

Travelling by train provides a more scenic option and the closest station to the square is the Amtrak station. You can also take a ferry ride as the San Francisco Bay Ferry services also connect directly to the waterfront.


By bus

By bus, many AC Transit lines, including 12, 72, and 72M, stop near the Square, making it accessible from various parts of Oakland.


By car

If you are visiting by car, take the I-880 and follow signs for Jack London Square. There are paid parking spots available near the area.
