Tennessee
Tennessee is a long, narrow state stretching from the Appalachian Mountains in the east to the Mississippi River in the west. It borders eight states — more than any other U.S. state except Missouri. The state is divided into three Grand Divisions:
- East Tennessee – mountainous, home to the Great Smoky Mountains and cities like Knoxville and Chattanooga.
- Middle Tennessee – rolling hills and plateaus, includes Nashville.
- West Tennessee – flat and fertile, includes Memphis and strong agricultural influence
